We have changed

You may have noticed a number of changes at the Public Trustee recently. We have been working hard to ensure we are creating a more sustainable organisation. Therefore, we have made some significant changes to our business practices and our fee structures so that we can continue to provide the most effective and efficient services to our clients and the people of Tasmania for the future.

When you prepare an estate plan or a Will with us, you will now have a choice about who you can appoint as your executor. You can still choose an impartial and independent executor by appointing the Public Trustee or you can choose someone close to you like a friend or family member.

Our estate planning fee structure has changed. The new fees are competitively priced given the exceptional quality of our services and the expertise of our professional staff. We will continue to offer free Will and enduring power of attorney preparation services when the Public Trustee is named as the executor and attorney if you are a Seniors or Australian Government Pensioner concession card holder.

The Public Trustee has also refreshed its look. As part of the review of our organisation we undertook a rebranding process to ensure we are communicating the benefits of planning ahead to secure your future in the most effective way possible. This included a new logo and a refresh of our information material. A new website has been developed, which has an abundance of relevant information to assist you make your estate planning choices and better understand our processes in regards to estate administration and financial management.
